Combine .docx files into a single Word document — chapters, reports, letters, contracts — in the order you choose. Pictures, tables, charts, bulleted and numbered lists and each file’s styles all come across. It runs entirely in your browser, so your documents never leave your computer.
2–20 .docx files. The first one sets the page size, margins, headers and footers — drag to change the order.

Word, Google Docs (downloaded as .docx) or LibreOffice · nothing is uploaded
Pictures, tables, charts, lists and each document’s styles come across.
Tap the box and choose your .docx files — up to 20 at a time. Drag the ⠿ handle or use ▲ ▼ to set the order; ✕ removes one.
Leave Start each document on a new page ticked unless you want them to run on.
Press 🔀 Merge Word documents. The files are combined by your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Press ⬇️ Download merged Word file and open it in Word, Google Docs, Pages or LibreOffice.
💡 Tip: Have old .doc files? Open them in Word and use Save As → Word Document (.docx) first — the merger reads the modern format only.
A .docx file is a small zip of XML parts. The merger opens each one on your device, takes the first document as the base, and appends the full body of every following document — paragraphs, headings, tables, pictures and charts — in the order you set. Every picture, chart, SmartArt graphic and embedded object is copied with fresh internal references, and drawing ids are renumbered, so Word opens the result without an “unreadable content” warning.
Pasting one long document into another silently reflows lists, renumbers headings and drops images. Most online “merge Word” tools upload your files to a server — fine for a recipe, not for a contract or a thesis draft. This one keeps the layout of each file and keeps the files on your computer. You can load the page, go offline, and it still works.
Drop your .docx files into the tool above, arrange them with the arrows and press Merge. The combined document downloads instantly — free, no watermark, no signup, and nothing is uploaded.
Yes. Paragraph and character formatting, tables, pictures, charts and SmartArt come across, along with each file’s bulleted and numbered lists and any styles the first document doesn’t have. Page setup, headers and footers are taken from the first document in the list.
Save them as .docx first: in Word use Save As → Word Document, in Google Docs use File → Download → Microsoft Word. Then merge here.
Safer than any upload-based tool: the merge runs inside your browser, so your documents never touch a server — ours or anyone’s. You can verify by turning your internet off before merging.
No. Each document’s list definitions are copied with new numbers, so a list in the second file starts and counts on its own instead of continuing a list from the first file.
Up to 20 documents per merge; the only size limit is your device’s memory. It is free without restrictions.
