Each file's first row is read as its header. Columns with the same header name are stacked into one column; a column that exists in only some files is kept and left blank for the rest. That means your files do not need identical layouts — Email in one file and Email in another line up even if one has an extra Phone column. Header matching is case-insensitive and ignores surrounding spaces.
With Remove duplicate rows on, a row is dropped when every one of its cells matches a row already kept, comparing text case-insensitively. So asha@x.com and Asha@X.com are the same; Asha Rao and Asha Rao (two spaces) are not — trim your data first if that matters. The first occurrence is kept, so put the file you trust most first.
Copy-paste breaks when columns are in different orders, and Excel's Remove Duplicates is a separate step people forget. This does both in one pass, and it does them in your browser, so a client list never sits on a third-party server.
